Coronavirus has taught me a little of something. I’m lucky enough to have my family close. Normally. But in the past few weeks of lockdown, most of us have been unable to be with our family members as liberally as we’re used to. And I’m really missing that contact with them. If anything good comes out of this situation, let it be a reminder of the importance of family.

Lifestyle Family Photography | Mornington Peninsula beach photo session
What even is lifestyle photography? Well it’s a style of photography that sits in between traditional portraiture which is more posed and documentary, which isn’t posed at all. So it tends to have more connection, beautiful little snippets of humanity and environmental storytelling elements to it. Here’s a perfect example. On a beautiful night recently I met this gorgeous family, and I mean gorgeous, every one of them stunning, on…
Mornington Peninsula Family Photography | Beach Session
I grew up on the beach. Quite literally, our house was less than a 30m walk to the sand. And our day would often begin with an early morning swim before breakfast, followed by many repeated trips backwards and forwards from the house to the beach, and the beach to the house, until the last rays of sun were dipping into the sea. It’s no wonder that I feel…
Melbourne Family Photography | Why family photography matters now more than ever before
If you know me at all, you’ll know that I’m passionate about family. And capturing moments of family togetherness feeds right into this need that I have to be doing something that honours what I feel is one of the most important and fundamental of society’s building blocks. Family is everything! And I fully believe that family photography can be, especially to a developing child, helpful in them seeing themselves…
Mornington Peninsula Family Beach Sessions
I’m so excited for more warm summer nights like this one spent with the cutest family a couple of weeks back. The beach can often be a difficult location to work with, but it’s one of my favourites. Especially later, after a hot day, when the sun is going down, and you start to get that warm glow. There’s just such a calm, nostalgic feeling that just resonates with me.
Motherhood Mini Sessions | Melbourne Family Photography
With Mother’s Day looming it’s all about celebrating Mum’s in May, and I’m on a mission to entice as many mums as I can to come out from hiding and to exist in photographs with their children.
Mornington Peninsula Family Photography | Jigar’s first birthday
I’m beyond excited that summer is nearly here! Long nights outdoors watching the sun go down at the beach and enjoying the last beautiful rays of light and glorious sunsets, are absolute perfection for me.
Mornington Peninsula Maternity Photography | Emma + Rhen
It’s hard to know just how much things will change with the arrival of a new baby. But things will change in a way that is so amazingly wonderful, and your heart will know more love than it’s ever known before.
Mornington Peninsula Wedding and Family Photography | The Little Things
I’m excited to share with you a short video that we’ve been making with Paper Box Media. It’s been filmed on the stunning Mornington Peninsula coastline and is inspired by the little things in life, which to me are the most important things. I’ve decided to embrace vulnerability a bit with this message and get myself into the frame. It leaves me nervous, but it’s something that I am always…

What a beautiful tangled mess family life is. I love it all. The craziness, the ordinariness, the love, the fun, the hard work and the many rewards that make up your everyday life. Most often, it all seems quite ordinary. Days go by and it can seem like you haven’t done anything special at all. But it is in these very ordinary moments, and in all the little details that…
