Weddings at RACV Cape Shank Resort
Heads up brides-to-be!!
There’s a new wedding venue down on the Mornington Peninsula that’s making waves and that’s the RACV Cape Shank Resort.
I’ve had the pleasure of working here a couple of times now and I’m more than a tad impressed by this distinctive resort that somehow seems to both nestle into, and rise above the sand dunes to offer stunning views from every room either out to the ocean or across the coastal countryside.
It’s the perfect location for a wedding that feels like getting away, even though it’s only an hour from Melbourne. And with golf, a luxury spa, and restaurants on site, your guests are going to want to stay and make a weekend of it.
On my last visit, I joined group of leading wedding industry professionals for a luncheon hosted by Toast Mornington Peninsula Magazine to celebrate the beginning of Spring and the season ahead.
We were treated to the new season’s wedding menu, (and that was the cue for me to put my camera down and pick up my knife and fork!) which was truly amazing.
Our room with floor to ceiling windows that let in the natural surrounds, and caters easily for large groups, was styled to perfection by some super talented creatives including the divine Naomi Rose whose floral arrangements had everyone in raptures. Her overhead installation was a work of art, and the tables looked so pretty with beautiful glassware and brass cutlery.
The invitations and signage was skilfully crafted by Samone Shepherdson who’s an absolute gun at all things wedding stationary.
A beautiful cake was provided by Sweets for Tilly and cookies by The Peninsula Cookie House. And linen was provided by Simmons Linen Hire chairs by Peninsula Party Hire.
All in all, it was a lovely afternoon with amazing people, and I truly can’t wait until my next visit, sooo …
