Yarra Valley Wedding Photography | Krissy + Nihal
I’m a big believer that a wedding doesn’t have to be extravagant in order to be beautiful.
The most beautiful things come from the heart.
This was illustrated perfectly by Krissy’s mum, who, as her eldest daughter was helping stitch her youngest daughter into her gown, came up and handed Krissy a simple bloom that she’d found in the garden outside. And in this one simple gesture, she reminded us all that the simple things in life are most often the best.
Nihal and Krissy’s wedding is a perfect example of how a team of talented and creative family and friends can help make the day simply beautiful without a huge price tag. Almost every detail was DIY.
Wearing a beautiful beaded gown by Anna Campbell and modified by her talented sister, this bare-foot bride looked as natural and radiant as she felt.
The ceremony took place at St Patrick’s Church in Lilydale and was made even more special with Krissy’s brother able to marry them coming all the way from the Vatican!
There was a short gathering at the nearby park straight after, and we whisked Krissy and Nihal away for some photos in the nearby forest which was incredible!!
By the time we walked out, we were completely blissed out and all zen-like, but the reception beckoned, and that’s where this gorgeous day finished off.
Here’s a little preview…
