Bouquet Making Workshop with Poppy Culture and Villa Floretti
From the moment you drive up the tree lined driveway of Villa Floretti, you know that you’re being transported. I seriously could have been somewhere in Europe last weekend for their bouquet making workshop held by the uber-talented and all-round lovely gal Lauren from Poppy Culture, Mornington Peninsula wedding and event florist and stylist.
Villa Floretti property owner Richelle Marks is a passionate floral enthusiast and generous hostess who runs the workshops amongst her flower orchards with picturesque views across the bay, or in our case, in the barn in the case of rain.
To be in the beautiful space that she’s created that is french inspired from her time in Europe, and to learn from Lauren who is one of the most highly regarded event stylists on the Peninsula, was so much fun, informative and creative.
This would be a perfect thing to do on a girl’s weekend on the Mornington Peninsula.
Everyone walked away with a gorgeous bouquet that they’d made themselves, from their foraged flowers. Proteas, banksias and other Australian native trees offer an abundant choice of stunning flowers and foliage, and browsing the orchards revealed many hidden gems.
A glass of prosecco and local fruits and cheeses finished off a perfect afternoon.
Such a fun and inspiring start to the weekend!
